Hearts Afire Follows Pope Francis' Plan Beautifully!

Pope Francis said on May 19: “I will say three words only. First: JESUS. What is the most important thing? Jesus. If we push ahead with planning and organization, beautiful things indeed, but without Jesus, then we are on the wrong road. Jesus is the most important thing." He went on to say, "The second word is PRAYER." And then, "And third, "WITNESS." We have Jesus, then prayer - prayer, letting oneself be guided by Him - and then witness."

Hearts Afire follows the path laid out by Pope Francis beautifully: Stage 1 (The Two Hearts) brings people to the heart of JESUS —to a deeper relationship with Him and to a renewed emphasize and desire for PRAYER. Stage 2 (Wisdom & Works of Mercy) teaches the beauty of the faith and how to put it in action—how "to WITNESS the communion of faith by living the Gospel in their own lives." Stage 3 (Keeping the Hearts Afire) continues to feed, nurture, and encourage us in a consistent way as we live as disciples of Jesus, as we follow in the footsteps of the Saints and live our faith!

The Holy Father concluded with: "The Church is brought forward by the Saints, who are the ones who really give this witness. And like Pope John Paul II and Benedict XVI said, the world today has so much need of witnesses. Not so much of teachers, but of witnesses. Less talk, speak through the way you live: the unity of your life, the consistency of your life! Consistency of life means living Christianity like an encounter with Jesus that leads me towards the other and not as a social fact, but ... is this how we are socially? Are we Christians? Closed in on ourselves? No, not that. Witness”

Thousands Consecrate & Console through "Hearts Afire" this April 

 

As thousands prepared to consecrate to Jesus through Mary this Annunciation, hundreds learned how to Console the Heart of Jesus during Lent. Needless to say, HEARTS are AFIRE!

In Topeka, Kansas, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Church, Archbishop Naumann and over 300 people of all ages consecrated to Jesus through Mary with "33 Days to Morning Glory" on April 8, the Feast of the Annunciation! The Archbishop invited the entire archdiocese to join him in the preparation for consecration, which resulted in thousands engaging in "the surest, easiest, shortest, and most perfect means to becoming a saint."

  Bishop Jenky Encourages All in Diocese to Do              33 Days to Morning Glory

 

 In a letter to the Priests, Deacons, Religious Educators, Pastoral Leaders and Faithful of the Diocese of Peoria, Bishop Daniel R. Jenky specifically suggests that parishes, schools, and families consider a 30-day Marian Consecration as outlined in a book by Father Michael Gaitly, MIC. The Bishop is making the book, "33 Days to Morning Glory," available free of charge to parishes and schools while supplies last. This offering is done through the generosity of a donor.

Asst. Director of Parish Evangelization for the Association of Marian Helpers, Kelly Wahlquist, lights a fire in 2,000 women at the CCWC on February 12, 2012! Kelly spoke about the soon to be released program that follows Fr. Michael Gaitley's popular book 33 Days to Morning Glory and she challenged the crowd to become "Catholic Pyromaniacs" spreading the fire of the New Evangelization from heart to heart!
